The art of charcoal delicacy
At SUMIZEN Bali, you are invited to savor Japanese-style Korean barbecue, prepared using binchō-tan – Japanese white charcoal – to lock in the authentic flavors. Choose from our eight private dining chambers for an intimate dining experience. Each of the rooms is inspired by Japanese architectural finesse and it comes with its own private balcony, where you can bask in the surrounding Japanese garden.

Culinary Philosophy
Taking Japanese-style Korean barbecue to a new level
At SUMIZEN, the Japanese-style Korean barbecue experience takes on an opulent twist. We elevate the dining experience by crafting every dish using binchō-tan-fueled grill right at your table. The white charcoal is often revered in Japanese gastronomy as a conduit to build flavors to perfection, imparting a unique, smoky allure to each bite.
The role of charcoal is seamlessly woven into every aspect, from the exquisite presentation of dishes to the meticulous preparation of rice.
